Special Issue Information

Dear colleagues,

Sports Biomechanics is an interdisciplinary research methods that facilitates a comprehensive examination of the mechanics of human movement to gain insight into musculoskeletal and physiological issues related to sports. Recent advances in modern technology have contributed to the proliferation of sports biomechanics. The development of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and computer modeling has enabled us to not only capture motion but also to extend our research into the health and medical industries. As a result, sports biomechanics is now being applied to numerous practical settings, including the optimization of sports performance, human health monitoring and activity recognition, and the prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation of sports injuries.

This Special Issue on developing into various aspects of sports biomechanics that can facilitate improved human health and performance. We are seeking contributions that provide a description, analysis, or discussion of different areas of interest, including physical activity, rehabilitation, fitness, and competitive sports, from a sports biomechanics perspective. Additionally, we encourage submissions that highlight recent applications of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and wearable technology, which leverage sports biomechanics for enhancing human health and performance.

We welcome a diversity of articles, such as conceptual and empirical articles, reviews, critical comments, and meta-analyses, for submission to this Special Issue. We will accept manuscripts from different disciplines, addressing topics related to the scope.
