Dear Colleagues,

Global carbon emissions have increased recently, and this has been associated with a worsening of the environment for public health. Around the world, people are working together to address climate change and encourage sustainable, low-carbon development in their home nations. The creation of low-carbon technology can successfully lessen the effects of carbon emissions on the environment globally and enable the environmentally and economically sustainable growth of low-carbon industries. Government, businesses, the general public, and other stakeholders all have long-term aims of achieving a low-carbon economy and ecologically sustainable development. To do this,

interdisciplinary approaches must be used to combine the knowledge of engineering and the scientific sciences with that of the humanities and social sciences. Interdisciplinary research now primarily focuses on the effects of a healthy built environment and atmospheric environment on public environmental health.

The goal of this section is to examine various low-carbon economic strategies that can be used to curb global carbon emissions, create a healthy environment for the general public, and create a mechanism for the low-carbon community to support the development of a sustainable economy based on low- carbon technology.

This special issue covers original research and review studies, including, but not limited to the following topics:

-Mechanism for environmental sustainability and a low-carbon economy

-Decoupling between economic growth, carbon intensity, and emissions of greenhouse gases

-Sustainable development, low-carbon trading, and low-carbon finances

-Detailed evaluations of the low-carbon economy, low-carbon efficiency, and sustainable development

-Environmental sustainability and alternative low-carbon energy technologies

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
