The stability of our food security is supported by the agriculture sector. Aside from satisfying our hunger, agriculture is a source of nutrition that fosters our health, and has a substantial influence on our culture and life. As the population grows, the amount of productive agricultural land decreases, along with the threat of climate change, land degradation, worldwide political troubles and various social problems in the agricultural sector, our food security is becoming increasingly difficult.

This challenge is not just about the quality and quantity of our food; it is also about the impact of agriculture on the environment. Agriculture is responsible for a third of greenhouse gas emissions, uses up 70% of the world's fresh water resources, produces a variety of organic and inorganic waste, and the overuse of chemicals has resulted in an ongoing deterioration of soil quality.

Now is the time to reform our agricultural sector, aiming to not only produce higher quality food, but also to preserve the environment. Circular concepts must be used to anticipate environmental troubles in agriculture and simultaneously raise the quality of our food products.

Circular agriculture attempts to reduce the environmental impact by minimizing external input through a closed-loop system of waste or by-products from the food production process. It is expected that the adoption of circular strategies in the agricultural sector can diminish the usage of resources and emissions of carbon. The study reveals that circular agriculture has increased productivity and efficiency in its implementation.

We are seeking papers that examine the implementation of circular economy principles in the agricultural industry. We are looking forward to your discourse on the following topics:

- How is the circular economy being implemented in the agricultural or food production sector and what issues have arisen?

- The circular economy has so far been mainly adopted by large-scale agriculture in the agricultural sector. How might the circular economy concept be put into practice among small-scale farmers, and what challenges would need to be addressed in the process?

- Circular agriculture calls for a mixture of agricultural models for food production, which is a contrast to the monoculture agricultural model. What approach should be taken to convince farmers to transition to this new agriculture model?

- Technology is instrumental in enhancing the performance of a system. What technology can be utilized to put into practice a circular economy in the agricultural sector?

- Currently, we are in the era of Industry 4.0, where digital technology and the Internet of Things are the main drivers for implementing a circular economy. How does circular agriculture incorporate digitalization into its practices? What contribution does IOT make to circular agriculture?

 - What is the supply chain model for circular agricultural products?

- What business models and marketing plans are suitable for supplying circular agriculture products to the market?
