Important Notice: Change in Publication Frequency to Biannual (2025 Onward)

2025-04-02

Dear Authors, Reviewers, Editors, and Readers,

On behalf of the Editorial Office of Sustainable Economies (SE), we extend our sincerest gratitude for your unwavering support and invaluable contributions. Thanks to your dedication, the journal has experienced rapid development and achieved significant milestones throughout 2024, marked by a notable increase in both submissions and published articles.

To ensure the long-term, healthy, and sustainable growth of Sustainable Economies, and after thorough discussion among the Editorial Office, the Editor-in-Chief, and the Editorial Board, we have carefully considered the future trajectory of the journal. Our primary goal remains to advance high-quality research in the field of sustainable economies. In pursuit of this, we have decided to refine our publication strategy to further enhance the academic rigor and impact of every published work.

Consequently, beginning in 2025, Sustainable Economies will transition from a quarterly to a biannual publication schedule (two issues per year). This adjustment will allow us to:

  • Strengthen our peer-review process, applying more stringent selection criteria to identify the most insightful and robust research.
  • Curate a collection of exceptional articles that offer substantial value and advance knowledge within our scope.
  • Maintain a sustainable and manageable workflow that upholds the highest standards of academic publishing.

We believe this shift will ultimately benefit our community by ensuring that each issue of SE delivers concentrated, high-impact scholarship on critical topics such as sustainable development indicators, the nexus of population, resources, environment, and economy, and regional studies—with continued special attention to perspectives from developing countries.

We continue to welcome submissions of original research, reviews, editorials, and commentaries from scholars and practitioners worldwide. Our commitment to providing an open-access platform for dialogue on sustainable economies remains stronger than ever.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership as we embark on this refined path toward sustained excellence.

Warmly,

The Editorial Office
Sustainable Economies (SE)
